that seems to be the fact in this case!
first the standardfile was measured then the ecu was flashed with the tunerfile and after a 30miles (with 98octane and fast!) drive with the tunerfile the mini was tested again

Volker stated in a previous post (#6) that none of the cars used the tuner

file regardless of what was stated, yet different MTH files were used on the
same car? Volker? Tradiuz? Why the loss?

in my last posting i refered to the "coops" mini who had both files - standard and tuner - and that is a fact. he flashed the ecu via cartune himself and made another measurement. thats all.
it is correct that "hitec" only uses the "standard-file" when they "pulley and software-tune" their customer minis but that doesnt mean that customers cannot flash their ecus themselves if they got the hard and software (cartune-obd cable).

Hi,
the mini of CoopS was tested on an BOSCH dyno, our official authority TÜV use BOSCH dynos to certify the power of a car.
The bosch dyno measure the drivetrain loss.
The procedure is to take the gear with the most straight ratio (on the cooper s it is the 5.) and run with WOT until you come close to the rpm-limiter then hit the clutch and let the dyno spool down. That spool down time/drag gives the loss of the drivetrain.
The dyno measure the power at the whells and acumulate the power from the spool-down procedure that gives the most acurate power value at the clutch.

Since you have done this on your Bosch dyno, what was the driveline loss you experience on a MCS? Thanks

The drivetrain loss is between 40hp and 50hp it depends at which rpm the max power is - the higher the rpm, the higher the drivetrain loss.
