I like it because it makes me think of the Governator.

The turbonator is a total peice of crap. Popular Mechanics recently did an article where they tested many of the questionable products on the market that claim dramatic gas milage or performance increases. All of them failed to live up to any of their claims and many were actually bad for your car. The Tubonator is nothing more than a bent peice of sheet metal that you stick into your intake tube creating a vortex to help speed up the air. Manufacturers of automobiles go to great lengths to DECREASE intake turbulence, not make it worse. Spend your money on proven upgrades.

Wow, I should "invent" something. Bend some metal, make some spinny thingies, create a theory why it works. Now I just need a cool name.

That reminds me of the "beerinator", a motorized beer bong that was passed down from year to year at WWU that mysteriously showed up at parties. It forced a beer down your throat every 1.4 seconds if my memory serves me correctly. I always wanted one, but settled for a kegorator.

Do NOT install that on your Mini, your tires are not rated for 200mph. The vortex generated by this mod will give you too much power for your own good!

Speaking of goofy ideas, has anybody heard of an evaporative cooling media for intakes or IC's?

100% correct - and with all that, you get only ONE benefit.... the PLACEBO effect.... talked to a guy one time who really knows his way around cars and performance upgrades - this thing had him convinced he was gaining HP and TQ!!!

after that i kinda stopped talking to him since he was apparently brainwashed into thinking anything you do to your car will ALWAYS add power.... the easist way to tell if something adds power: find out if it has an increase in sound, because more sound ALWAYS means more horsepower, we all know that, i mean, really.........
