Drivetrain Uni-Chip ???
Unichip ???
i'm looking for people's opinions on the Uni-Chip
do you like it?
does you kar feel fsater?
anyone done a dyno comparison? (before & after, Map-A & Map-B)
which mapping do you run? (A or B) and why?
if you are you running the B map, what type of gas are you running & why?
etc?

I like mine fine, kool. I've been running it on Map B since its install in May at The Dragon. Combined with the 15% pulley, it makes Wanda go ZOOM!
I'm thinking that when I get home next week, I'm going to switch to Map A just to see if there's any difference in performance or in gas mileage.
My butt dyno says Wanda is much faster!

Hey Kool
I have had it for sometime, ran it on the High Octane map, (can never remember which one that is other than supposed to be the leanest AFR and for 100 octane, never had any problems until I added an M7 /Webb 63MM throttle body and at the same time the 2% oversize light weight crank pulley at the same time, within 100 miles I threw a SES light.
The code threw while cruise control at 75mph, it was a lean condition bank #1, done it twice, so I switched back to the 93 octane map, (no red dioide light). Havent't driven it since, so I don't know if that will solve the lean condition or not.
I have asked Randy about this and await his reply. My impression is that this is a compatibility issue between the new software V 41 and BB throttle bodies in common, and which hasn't been sorted out yet?
From what I know, I think this is the best chip out there, although that statement will surely start opposing views.
But it is a piggy back system, can be mapped specifically to your mods, and is "reprogrammable and tuneable". Plus it only takes a few minutes to remove when taking the car to the service center
You will feel the difference, I have not Dynoed but others have and the gains are dependent on what other mods have been done
Hope that helps

does anyone else with the ubichip have a problem with the DSC turning it's self off, sometimes? (like every 10 starts) ?

I have the unichip on my car. I like it. Car feels faster & more responsive but I don't have dyno results/comparison (might have that soon though). I run the B map with standard 91 oct. gas. It has never resulted in an SES light and I've never had the DSC change on me...
Kool, I PMd you earlier, but your post today has prompted this response. I have the UniChip and noticed when it was a week or so old, that the DSC and SES lights came on. I asked Ryephile about it and he said that the chip just needed to acclimate itself to the system. My UniChip has been on my car since the Dragon, in May, but the lights went "out" in early June and I've had no problems since.

I have an Excelent tuner near me and I gat mine retuned whenever I make significant changes.
Unichip is a great system, but not offering the softwear to the owners of one is a big drag.
