Alta INTAKE group buy.

I found someone willing to discount the ALTA Intake if we buy multiples and ship together. We need to act fast how many people can I count on. Won't be able to get a price until I get a tentative number. I will wait until Monday 10.24.05 to see how many people I have on the List. I don't want to ship too far as this would eat up the discounts. Willing to consider a pick-up option as well.

NOTE: I am making nothing off of this transaction. I just want to take part in a good deal with some other Mini Owners.

If they are discounting that price, you've found a real deal!

Following your link gives a price of $220 for the Alta CAI, but if you go to their web page, the price is $259 plus delivery. The link I gave above produces a delivered price, including the silicone hose, of $229. GrilleGuy says he has an even better price than that. I have mine, but am surprised more are not signing up for this.

The deal I have made to this point beats all those deals AND SHIPPING IS INCLUDED! IT MAY GET EVEN BETTER with more buyers.

We must act fast!

WADDEYM, They can do Tennessee. I have a brother who loives there so if need be he can drive it and ship from there he will be in town in 2 weeks.

Anyone who wants to see the preliminary price email me @ Scott@GrilleGuy.com (Remember I am just doing the leg work here, I stand to make nothing on this deal, I just think a little work on my part gets me and 5 to 10 others a good deal!) At this point I only have a quote for 5, but the numbers are increasing and the price falling.

THE DEAL IS FINALIZED! HURRY end 11.6.05!

The deal is finalized. He will ship direct to you. Note that under the item details the price is higher - this is because that is a link to his site and thus that is his normal price. To get the discount follow the instruction on the group list!

I removed the link since they are not vendors on NAM. EMAIL me if you want the link to the site!

PRICE = $198.99 + $10 shipping in the US. I am in NC and the vendor is in SC, but the intakes will be shipping from an alternate location. For that reason - NO PICKUPS will be allowed.

Thanks!

Anyone get their intake yet? I have yet to hear anything. Which is just wrong even if the shipping has yet to happen.

Did you ever get a tracking number? Also are you in Hawaii...thus making you probably the furthest shipping distance from South Carolina.

In california, never got a tracking number. It was sent via UPS though. I havn't installed it yet, but I painted it flat black, and left the words, "ALTA" in the silver color. Looks pretty trick.

I didn't want to sandblast the coating off, call me LAZY!

Upscale Automotive = Horrible Service or FRAUD

My order was placed on 11/03 and I have not received either the intake or even a tracking number. Robert at UpscaleAutomotive replied to one of my emails on 11/14 saying the intakes would be shipped either 11/16 or 11/17. On 11/19 I emailed asking status. So far, nothing. You would think a reputable company would (a) have sufficient inventory to meet group buy demands (b) initiate communications if timely delivery of PREPAID items were delayed and (c) reply to customers emails inquiring why they have collected their money and have failed to even ship the merchandise almost three weeks later. Has anybody else experienced the same with these people?

Wierd, he responded to all of my emails really fast.

I used

sales@upscaleautomotive.com

Another email I got more resently used wcwworld@hotmail.com.

The shipping date was 11/08/2005 11:23:58-PM PST accordingly

His name is robert waddell. I got mine really fast, and I was in california. Are u sure the address was correct? It was chipped via FEDEX!
If you want to pm me, I might be able to start emailing him, if you pm me your name and what not, don't wanna be to presumptuous. Also pm me your nick name u used on his site, when you registered.

I didn't put this together, but I'm willing to help out a fellow motorist and see whats going on.

Not Right

This is starting to look wrong. Even if one or two people never get their shipments then it's no "deal" at all; because for the money this guy took in he has made more per shipped item than anyone else sells an intake for. Did GrilleGuy set this up for everyone to get a good deal or just some?
