Is it just me or does the flex tube look a little short to be very effective? No bashing intended I'm just asking.

It is shorter then we would have desired, but to get the length of tubes that we wanted, and to be able to swap a CAT in or out, it had to be made a bit smaller. It still does an effective job though.

Any new news on this header? I was looking on ebay yesterday and saw it on. After I get my pulley installed I will be looking to buy a header. Was wondering if anyone has tried it out and if they get a CEL with the resonated pipe? (my guess is you do). Thanks.

header...

looks nice, but am another miniac concerned about 200 cell cat converters lasting only a couple of years...

also, seems like most of the performance gain people see could be due to the elimination of the OEM pre-cat, not necessarily the actual header....

for example if the new header had the 2 cat converters in it, would it perform better than stock??

Personally, I would like to see a header produced and sent to a buyer with the OEM CAT, eliminating the precat, charge a core, and the customer could then send the OEM header with CAT back to manufacturer...

C'mon, Obe, give it its due. At least the Nelson Riddle-penned theme was pretty cool. Easy to remember the lyrics, too.

this header comes with two cats....why the first one...

is it because of emissions regulations.... and what about the second cat... is it a real cat or just a fake cat ?? hollow...

i am looking for a system too connect with my superprint center tube and manifold, but which i can easily remove with the original header with the cat . for yearly control check in my country....

it looks a bit like supersprint or obx headers.... except for the 1st cat....

can u connect this header too the catreplacement element from supersprint (see picture)

The short pipe shown in the photo of the Megan (Pilo) header is not a catalytic converter, but a resonator of sorts. I am not aware of any cats currently available for this header other than those fabricated custom by owners of these headers.
cheers,

miniracer1 - There is no "first cat." Maybe you are looking at the braided flex joint?
