Ported SC mod info

I still have not gotten any definitive info on the value of a ported SC on a highly modded engine. I put the crank pulley on this week and the intake manifold will go on week after next (Hector is on vacation) The last thing for me would be the ported SC but the value/gains on a highly modded engine have been in question. Has there been any developments here?

Light FW and Spec 2 clutch will happen over the winter

Mini Madness has one of the Endyne worked sc on a car that they've been testing. It may be helping by reducing the intake temps, but they are testing to see if it makes any power. It is the only mod to the car since the car was last put on a dyno, and they were planning some dynos, so perhaps they may be able to come up with some substantial data that seems so hard to find about this matter.

Spider, have you ever considered getting a Twin-charger system? Which is a Turbo + the factory SC if I'm not mistaken? With the money you've spent on yours, you could have afforded one I believe correct? And doesn't that give you a huge boost in power?

Or are you just more interested in extending your sig than adding power?

I have an M7...

but looking at JLMs photos of the Endyn, it has some holes welded closed that the M7 doesn't. Don't know any difference in power, and mine's still on a bench in my garage....

I actually am considering this route as all further engine mods are costly with little gains for the money spent.

The only thing that's holding me back is Eric's forthright statement that only he and a couple of other distant places can really service it. I appreciate his honesty.

A roll-back from Alanta wouldn't just be pricey, it'd be too disruptive for a car that I still use as a daily driver.

apparantly those holes are there to quiet down the whine at the expense of boost production. another thing I noticed is the Endyn mod keeps the triangular port general shape, but the M7 mod adds a rectangluar area to one of the pointd ends. No comment on the effectiveness of either.

My car is my daily driver by choice as i have another car but I understand with the twincharge that a lot of the mod parts are not used and I already have them on and paid for. I am not looking at another $5000 + for engine mods. I also have concerns like hornguys about service etc.. My car is pretty quick now and my quest is more how much can I get without twincharge and NO2. The car is running good and Randy W said that the intake manifold really compliments his head. The M7 SC mod has been reported to make some sig power on a light mod car but not so much on a highly mod car. That had never been sorted out for me. RW told me that he hasn't seen the SC mod being very efffective....others (not Peter) claim differently. It seems to be the last engine mod i would do if it was worthwhile ie more that 10 hp.

As far as adding to my sig.......yeh it's gotten kind of obnxs

Actually, I kinda like the details in the sig. Like that onasled guy, who posts all the videos, and obviously has a fast MINI. Wouldn't ya think many other MINI owners/entusiasts would want to know what he's got under the hood....I mean bonnet! :impatient So it's nice to have your listed mods easily viewable =)
