Yes there is, but one could buy the same system. A Scorpion at Bavarian with a name change. They sale for $550 and are on sale from time to time for $499. Bavarian sells Scorpion @ $550 and My Mini sells Playmini @ $699 same system. Pete is still a nice guy! And if he would sell his last 2 muffler system for the sale price of $499 I would buy it.

No refund on my return shipping!

Edit: Pete is going to return my return shipping cost! He emailed me this morning and said he found a check that should have been in the box with the new part. He gave me an apology and said he would mail it right out!
Thanks Pete!

quote=MiniMeg06]I would go for / buy a system with Res. with two mufflers and two tips.
I bought a Dinan CAI (and some other small parts) from Pete and it was cracked from shipping. I called to let him know. He check the rest of his stock and said the others were bad also. He thanked me, ordered a another one and asked if I could return the bad one. He is refunding my shipping and sending me a new Dinan. Great Customer Service!

Thanks Pete!

Sorry double post.[/quote]

i have been to mymini and talk to pete on a weekly basis. hes a great guy and has a real knowledge of these cars and fabrication. im deff going to get the my mini exhaust. i think i herd somthing about him doing a dual tip version. im waiting to get my cold air intake from him (he says it dynoed around 8HP to the wheels)
also im waiting for the mymini/forge motorsports larger intercooler. he's going to ad a row of fins in the back and tapper the front a little so it sits at a slant for better air flow. great idea! cant wait to get it on the car!

Pete is coming out with a dual tip design later this month. He is quick to help with customer service. But should you have a problem I am sure he will gladly help you.

Excellent review...

Any chance of putting it in the reviews section?

(every now and then I feel the urge to remide us that the review section exists!)

Matt

The weird thing is when I added this exhaust to the reviews section it doesn't let me then add a review to the post.

Looking for input.

I am looking to replace my UUC exhaust system for a single sided system. I read the posts about the MyMini exhaust and looked it over. Great look.

My question is this....can anyone give a comparison of the sound & volume levels between the MyMini exhaust and the UUC exhaust? The UUC has a great sound but is a bit loud for my purposes.

While I can not compare the two - I have heard the MyMini and it is a very subtle sport tone. I did not find it loud at all but then loudness is subjective.

Give peter a call - tell him bart said "you would go outside with a cell phone and rev your car for me "

I have had one on my car since July. It does drone at 3000rpms. 300rpm above or below that and it is great. I know the original review came from someone who has an automatic, which therefore only turns around 2600rpm at 65 compared to the sticks which are up around 3000rpm there. Thus giving the impression that it is relatively quiet. Or maybe I need to hear a LOUD exhaust to compare it to.

Sometimes I feel like I might want to change back to stock or to something even quieter. This is because I frequently do a 450 mile highway round trip between home and school. But when I take the car out for a fun drive I wouldn't have it any other way. When I first put it on, I noticed it would rattle change in the coin tray under the hand brake if that is any indication. Oh and I also sound deadened a good bit of the car.

I have had this exhaust for almost a year , it's not too load , doesn't drown, and since the pulleys, it barcks and burble just right!
And Pete? This guy wrote the Custumer service Book!

First, sorry for the thread resurection!

I just got my MyMini exhaust this afternoon and I am very satisfied with it.

The tone is loud, but not intrusive or annoying. Let me say I did not want a ricey, bee-like Honda sound, and this exhaust sounds great! I sounds deep. The fitting is perfect. I have to admit I had to let the single, oval, tip style grow in me for a few months, but finally decided I could get used to the look.

I won't argue with MyMini about the fact they got 3-5hp from a dyno test, but I can't say it makes a huge difference. The RPM seems to rev a bit more freely, and I guess a better, lighter, exhaust system can't hurt.

It is definitely a nice improvement and I recommand it to all MCS owners!

A few pics of it:

fitment looks good, personally, i don't see how a muffler of that style can make power, straight through mufflers are better in my opinion

i agree that the tip looks anemic as does the dia. of the piping, what is it? 2"?

The piping is 2.25", which is a decent size.

Any less restricitve than stock will make a bit more power, but there is no huge gain to get from an exhaust IMO. Saving weight and getting a better sound is the main advantage.

Congrats DarkMiniS - good choice as the dyno demonstarted the other day. Fit and finish are a 10+. Sound is really good.

As to the tip - pictures don't do it justice. Being different/unique, I was on the fence about it but 1) it really does grow on you and 2) when viewed from normal angle (walking past the car) it looks just right.

I have this system in my car and can't said anything bad about it. The sound is a little deeper and sportier without being ricey or anything like that. The tip had grown on me as it was the only thing I wouldn't give a 5.

Pete is a great person to work with and is a great supporter of the enthusiast community. I am a loyal customer of him and will be forever.

The sound is so great aht I have guys with Porsches and vettes come to me at the track and complinmet the sound of the exhaust on its best performance. The weight reduction is nice too!

I give the system a 4.8, Customer service a 5.0 and Pete a 100.. what a great guy to work with..

Did you guys happen to weigh the system?

I pulled out the factory system and weighed it = 40 lbs.

I put in a SuperTrapp setup and it weighs = 9 lbs.

I'm sure the MiMini exhaust isn't that lightweight, but is it even close? (I'm tired of the sound of the SuperTrapp)

I purchased a new one - not M7 fault. No - we will never know the source but seems to be a one time event.

I didnt read anything about highway driving, does it drown? When I was at MOTD last year I heard one, sounds like a turbo'd car IMO

It does not drown at cruising speed, but you can hear it. Nothing annoying.

IMO, the sound is perfect!

I hope Peter did a good price... What happened to the defective IC? You will get it back?
