CAI voiding warranty question

a pulley would probably void warranty on the supercharger. Would a Alta Cold Air Intake void the warranty for the engine as well or just the supercharger part? I'm asking for personal opinion since every mini service department will be different when there are aftermarket parts.

A CAI shouldn't void any warranty at all, except of course, the intake part. The CAI is not making the S/C work any harder(rpms won't change), and the engine is still controlled by the stock ecu.

You should not have any problems with warranty.

Your options are -

Just go for IT
talk with your dealer.
install a high flow replacement filter like those made by ITG. LOW $
Dinan makes an aftermarket CAI which I believe MINI/BMW accept. Also you could add a JWC CAI. Both are more costly.
