20-30 hp gain from an exhaust

In case those of you were unaware, the magnaflow system (cat-back mind you) now produces 20-30 hp and it has gone up in price to $1100 from monstermini. This is obviously sarcastic, as I saw it here on ebay.

It appears from the description that the 20-30 HP gain is only achieved when installed on a MINI COPPER S

That's terrible.

Mini copper? '00 up?

It came off a 2002 Mini, and he's quoting horsepower for S-types? They didn't even make S in 2002, eh? And this guy obviously knows jack about Mini's if he's saying from 2000 and up.

ADD:
Here's another ebay Mini drivetrain auction, quoting a gain of 8-15HP from a $5 intake:

The 20-30 HP gains are in line with the 10 HP I got from putting on a stubby antenna and the 15 HP I got from tinting the windows.

You have a hundred stubby antennas? Wow! I bet you get really good reception on your radio!

Back to reality, here's the actual gains from a Magnaflow exhaust on my MCS that had a 15% pulley.

Nearly identical performance until after 6k rpm.

I understand that if you drive the car off of a cliff - top end / torque will greatly increase. Of course to dyno this means sacrificing the dyno over the cliff and for that reason its never been dyno'ed.

It must be a remarkable feat of engineering that made the same exhaust fit both the '00 and the later models, since the '00 looks like this: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...ini/index.html
