chip.... i have both and personally a chip is worth far more money...

that said, the look on people's face when they see the giant grs i have is priceless....

if you are going for performance... i'd take the chip first, i personally cannot feel much performance gains with it, heatsoak is the biggest factor to intercooler efficiency, no matter how big ur heatsink is, if heat is getting to it it will make little difference... the mth i have made a big impact from 2 grand all the way to redline...

Jury is still out on larger ICs

Go for the chip......

If there isn't several thousand feet per second of air going over the IC at redline, it's not getting enough air. Larger ICs will show much better than if there is much more air flow. I have an ALTA TMIC and am still unsure of the true benefit. Most days I'm so so, some days I'm WOW! But it's pricey.... If you really have $700 plus to spend, I'd put the TMIC at the later stages of mods....

ECU changes I'd do early on, but if it costs to change your map, that can get pricey over time....

I would go with software over the IC and I have both. Even though I have a Unichip and their service is great If you are going to stop where you are on mods I have ridden in some MTH cars that were very smooth with the same mods that you have. The GIAC option gets a lot of praise. I think the true benefit of the Unichip is as the engine gets more complex and you need the custom tune. I know that others will argue for the Unichip and I have one and like it but with $350 you would be 1/2 way to the IC.

Again, I would go Unichip or software before the IC
