I'd love to know the answer also. I drove an '05 JCW manual trans at the dealer yesterday and couldn't believe how much fun it was. I'd love to mod my '05 MCSa but not sure what the deal is. I spoke with Joel at http://www.bavhypersports.com here in Houston the other day and he didn't see a problem but he's never really looked at a MCSa before. My theory is BMW has been testing the JCW kit on the automatics for awhile now to see if they can handle the extra pull. Once confirmed, dealers will be able to use the JCW kits they already have on hand.

BTW, JCW will be a factory install come 1 October 2005.
