Has anyone removed the passenger side muffler as a perf. mod?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7988471988

Saw this on Ebay where the guy is selling a pipe that would bypass/eliminate the right/passenger side miffler and connect the straight portion of the cat back stock exhaust to the left side muffler which the twin tips are welded to?

Seems logical...just wondering if anyone has had a negative experience on this type of mod?

Not really a performance mod, just sounds raspier.
