Pacific NW Pulley Party?

Hello folks:

I'm wondering if there is any interest in a Seattle or Portland pulley party, and if anyone knows of a "Pulley Phd" who could come to the Great Northwest and perform some performance miracles on our MCS's?

Thoughts, anyone?

Lance,

You just missed one, last weekend. Puget Sound Mini Motoring Club had one here in the greater Seattle area.

Sorry,

I have to ask this question, and I dont mean any disrespect to anyone nor am I targeting anyone specifically.

What I am wondering is why an installer will charge $400 to install a pulley at a pulley party. It seems a little out of line cost wise and especially considering they are going to do multiple at one time.

I am sure a pulley costs the installer less than $100 and it only takes an hour or so for the experienced installer. How can $300 per hour be justified especially when a person is doing 3, 4, 5 or more at one time?

I have just been wondering this for quite a while and had to ask. I did mine in my driveway in less than 2 hours including figuring out how to best go about it and that included putting the tools away when I was done.

Just please someone tell me how to justify $300 per hour and then have people make it sound like they are doing you a favor?? I dont get it.

Sorry for the rant.

Portland has a great performance shop - Matrix Integrated. They installed my pulley in two hours for $150.00. They are highly recommended by Alta.

See thats a fair price! $250 - $275 for a pulley installed is about where it should be.
