GIAC Cable

I, perhaps like a few others, have been waiting around to do GIAC plus injectors kit until there was a refresh cable for the upgrade. Did I miss it?

Eric's site seems to say that the GIAC is 325 and a reflash is 325. I know that is not so, but someone new to this product might get confused.

We are departing Northern VA for the bluegrass of KY in August, I would like to do this before I am out of range of Helix.

GIAC's Flash is good with and w/o Injectors. I have it w/o injectors and will see another 10 HP when my injectors go in. The chip was made keeping both in mind (for the 15% and 17% I believe and the 19% requires injectors).

I am using 19 percent.

I know I need injectors.

I have not reached first inspection and I hesitate to do the upgrade with Eric and then have the dealer reflash and me not have a simple way to rectify the ECU configuration. Yes, I know I could ship it to Eric, but I like to be self-sufficient if I can be.

Sorry I was not more clear.

the RPM red line is increased from 6600 to 6800, thats an easy visual to tell if they reflashed you.. Always request the dealer not to reflash you, if you have a good dealer they will understand why.

Eric confirmed that ECU is an easy removal and I have business up toward Philly soon. I think I will go ahead, try to convince the Cinci dealer to leave it alone (tape instructions to the access port), and if that fails, send it back to Eric. It is not a daily driver anyway.

With the 19% pulley on, I am surprised that you would want to raise the rev limiter. I would have considered lowering it slightly just to give the SC a break.

Thanks for the thoughts.

Vince

Wonder if the GIAC plus injectors is synergistic with Andy Ross's VGS Vacuum Gain System? It would be a good time to make that change as well but I'm not sure if it is compatible with the GIAC programming. Maybe someone has tried it.

I have both and they work great together ... like chocolate and peanut butter ... like tequila and lime.
