Drivetrain At what mileage did you add pulley?
I got the 15% installed at 1500 miles, along with the UNIChip, Milltek cat-back, IK-22 plugs, Alta intake, H-Sport rear sway bar, H-Sport springs, and H-Sport rear lower control arms. I'm glad I waited until after break-in so I had enough miles on the car that I could feel the difference and I'm also glad I didn't wait much longer since I'm enjoying the mods.

I (Randy Webb actually) added my Alta15% pulley at about 3,000 miles. Just enough past break-in time but while everything else was still new. Best bang for my buck of all the mods I've done.
It's been over 30,000 miles and two years since, with nary a problem.

I installed the 15% at 12,000 and ran it to 30,000 miles. Have another 30,000 on the 19%, no problemo. Total miles, 60,000, 48,000 total on smaller pulleys.
But I do change 19% belts at 10k as a precaution.

Just had it done to today at Edge Motor Works in Dublin, CA (they're mainly a Bimmer shop, but they are more and more into MINIs these days). I'm at about 2500 miles on my '05. I also had the Alta CAI done (w/ blue hose, cause it's so cool lookin'). My only regreat is that it's too hot today--94 degrees!
Granted, I've only been able to drive about 5 miles so far today, but it seems to be a good choice. Because the '05 gearing was revised, I don't know if these mods add as much performance as it does on the pre-'05 cars, but it seems like money well spent.
By the way, this is a Eurosport 15% pulley, which is a lot like the Alta (i.e., self-centering) and it has a coated aluminum look to it. Blends in nicely.

My pulley went on at 12miles, then exhaust and CAI at 17 miles as that's how far Webb Motorsports is from Ralph Schomp MINI (approx.) The other main mods (tires, wheels, Unichip) occurred mostly around 1500miles after I'd suffered through the break-in period.
Like someone else said, why wait to get the performance it should have had by design?

15%
15% at 3k by Helix. I was worried about potential warranty issues till I found out Geico sells a mechanichal warranty under my car insurance for $30/year with a $500 deductible. That opened the mod floodgates for me, the brute is just under 50k now. $500 is a big deductible but I imagine a motor or a transmission would be very costly to repair or replace. I hate to be a thread jacker but its a good possibility worth investigating when contemplating to mod early. M2c.
