JE has a decent reputation for good pistons - I've used them on several performance engine builds that I have done in the past. Anyway, I'm bored so I have started to collect goodies to build a MINI engine. Just looking for feedback on these pistons and what alternatives there are since I'm starting from scratch.

Like you, I've used them in other engines with good success, but I've never built a MINI engine so I can't help you there.

Sure are purty, though, aren't they? Dunno about running 11:1 compression, though.

 

The CR is a concern. I wonder if there is enough meat to machine a little off the top? I am planning to rework the head so I might pick up some volume there.

 

I'm guessing those specs are for Cooper pistons, not Cooper S.
