Hello,

Does anyone in the Atlanta area have a stock air box for the Mini Cooper S they would be willing to sell? I am moving to California and I have an after market CAI on my car. Somehow my stock air box got thrown away (grrr) and I need my stock air box for my smog test when I get to California - they're strict about after-market intakes at your smog test so I'm told.

I have my airbox from my 2005 MCS I could sell and send over to you. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be in the Atlanta area any time soo, but it shouldn't be much to ship. Let me know.

Is your aftermarket CAI CARB approved? I had a VW with many mods, including reduced pulley and intake, and though the smog shop gave me difficulties, I was able to produce proof of CA air restriction approval from the manufacturer. Now, like I said, they were a pain about it, but after a few talks with both the state and the manufacturer, they did pass it. If you love your CAI, you might want to check into this.
