Not One-Ball exhaust, but rather...
Where can I get info on the custom exhaust mod that is basically a straight pipe off the cat with an aftermarket muffler? I know you have to remove the battery encasement to make it fit, but that is about it. I'd like to get info on exactly what underneath the car needs to be removed, cost, and gains.

Just got your PM, and I thought I would reply here in case others might be interested. I just found this semi-recent thread... My first post is at the bottom of this page. I guess I removed those photos due to space limitations. The MINI2 thread provided on the next page is plenty comprehensive though...

Thanks for the compliments BelowRadar. I must admit that's the first I heard that it's a good-looking exhaust  . I've never heard the contrary, but still nice to hear...
The MINI2 link should show some detailed shots of the battery. Here are a couple that I found here on NAM:

Good thing I'm not selling this set-up because I don't have any dyno numbers, nor even any flow measurements
. As with the AGS intake, it provides for a shorter, straigther and larger path for the exhaust gases, and that makes sense to me.
Oh, the tip name can be found in the MINI2 link. It's been a while...

Sorry, no sound clips. If you are ever in the Bay Area...
The cool thing about doing your own exhaust is that one can choose the tip of their preference, and also play with different combos of resonators/mufflers to get the desired sound.
I really like the wide oval tip as I feel that it fills the opening in the valence quite nicely...

Sure looks nice though...I don't see a resonator, bet that baby sings a nice tune.
After arriving to work this morning, I was able to read the exhaust tip's name as it was sticking-out a couple or so inches. The company name is Ractive (about 2/3's the way down):

Tony B,
I like your exhaust setup. I am very sure there are some people out there planning to have your kinda setup. But we are unsure how the sound going to be like..
Can you record a 15seconds clip for us? Please.........

My digital cameras will record audio, so can I use one of them? I've never recorded digital audio before... And, can I upload the file to NAM? Let me know, and if doable, I'll give it a shot...
Yes, I believe you can record it by using your digi cam but not sure if you can upload it here. you might need a link to your sound clip. You can try.... If cant... my email is detonics9@yahoo.com
Thanks Tony!!
Thanks Tony!!
I actually got 2 offers of assistance! One fellow NAM'er is coming from TX to the Bay Area on business (we have the same employer), and I'll see him tomorrow, after work... Also, another NAM'er has his own cool business literally two minutes from where I work, and he sent me a PM stating that he would be glad to assist! Being that I only commute my MCS on Mon and Fri, I'll find-out tomorrow if we can get this done...
Keep-in-mind, I have the rear seats removed, which makes a noteworthy difference in volume, inside...
Once I have a file, I'll email it to ya Detonics...
