So is this dyno figure with N20 help and if so what would one expect without the nitros?

I belive its still "twincharged". Pls correct me if I'm wrong El.

Whoa, but this is one serious MINI. I'm liking the look of that velocity stack style intake tube. While I'm certain it's not just for looks it's pressence ads to THE BUSINESS look.

Seriously kick *** MINI Hubie!

What was that I heard about some tuner over in the UK who supposedly had a 400hp MIN, but blew it up? Hmmmmm

...and surviving one dyno run doesn't mean this one won't do the same thing.

ditto soon.

congrads to the SPI family and extended modders.

etc. to those pushing the envelope on products sold out there so that those of use well below 400+ know that what you are pushing will handle our sea level power ranges

OK, but there's more to this...

The fabled 400 hp UK MINI is (at this point) only mythical. Neither The tuning company or any individual released anything that would support the claim: 400 hp at the crank (not whp).

Hubie has signifcantly eclipsed the previous mark - mythical or not. Furthermore, Hubie's #'s make me wonder what the other guys were doing (wrong?) to blow up the engine with 100 less HP. ...And, begs the question what is Hubie doing 'right'?

Yes. Whatever Hubie is doing, he is doing it right. Thats the most important fact. The "fabled" 400 hp gb mini that blew its engine up is just that: myth.

i think i was told that the 430hp figure was using a 120 shot of N2O. Does that translate to 350whp without it?

the only way to determine the weak point is to test to failure. Hubie has been there, addressed the problems and moved past them. He just told me that now it is getting interesting. My guess is his power limt will be when his car will do sub 8 sec quarters, as his current racing license is limited to +8 seconds

I'll been thrilled with my Helix twincharge. It's so fast it's sick-in a good way.
These numbers in the 400 range are insane sick - in a good way!

What kind of numbers does this thing turn? I don't remember reading any times to go with the stunning horsepower- how well is the power getting to the ground? The Lotus Elise turns low 4 0-60 w/ only 170 bhp due to the lbs to hp ratio. How does this beast stack up??

The mini i will be taking delivery on soon has a low 4 second 0-60. It only has 250 whp. Hubie's biggest problem will be putting the power to the ground.

I'm just curious . . .

It is not my intent to start a flame war here, but how do you propose to get this thing smog certified for California if you plan on driving it on the street?

Yes, you may be able to find someone who will fudge your report to the state so that you get your renewal every other year. But, what do you plan on saying to the officer who pulls you over and wants to see the engine?

Just curious since this is not CARB Certified and I have not seen anything that suggests it going to be done. I would love to get this, but I have had the hassle with the Smog Cops and I would rather not thank you.

I don't think they're too concerned with CARB certification. It would probably cost more than the whole car to get each part tested, approved, and stamped...if the parts would even pass.

Anyone have this on Quicktime, .mov, or .avi? I won't put Windows Media Player on my puter...

Interesting question and a relevant one as I was pulled over 2 weeks ago by a CHP in the hills and asked to open my hood. I am legal as far as he knew

You're missing out. It has great compression and quality, plus easy streaming. There's nothing bad about it.
