short shift kit and aftermarket exhausts

It's been posted a couple of times now that the 04+ B&M SSK poses problems with the resonator of some aftermarket exhausts, Milltek and Borla included. Do the other ssk's pose the same problems?

Wow, very interesting. I'm looking at ordering a new '05. I love the B&M short shift kit and Borla exhaust on my '03 Cooper, and definitely want a SSK and aftermarket exhaust on the new car. I did a search, and all I could find were these two threads:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...hift+resonator
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...=B%26M+Milltek

Is this a problem with 5-speed Coopers as well? I don't know how similar the exhausts are in terms of resonator position.

Seems like a great thing to have would be a matrix indicating which exhausts work (or don't work) with which short shift kits. Maybe even just a sticky thread with whatever info is available so far?

I can tell you our SSK works with any exhaust that doesn't require PERMANENT, removal of the aluminum heat sheild. This is because our SSK fits and adjusts above this shield. Since this is true, it should fit EVERY exhaust that i am aware of. Why ours over B&M??? It is adjustable, 0-40%+ throw reduction(+ can be had with some minor mods), unique in that it is adjustable inside the cabin.

Sorry for the plug, but it seems that the big name brand here wins over ours quite often. Feature for feature ours is better and i belive a little less money.
