K&N Filter question

Hi all -

I have a K&N Typhoon CAI on my MCS, and I just swapped out the cone filter with a replacement. I have cleaned the first filter and installed the replacement. My question is this:

If I am going to store the newly cleaned filter for 4-5 months until it's time to swap them out again, should I oil the filter or wait 'til it's about to go on the car? In other words, is it OK for a filter to be stored for a few months after it's oiled? Should it be stored in a zip-lock bag?

Thanks for any advice - - Michael

I oil mine then put it in a zip-lock bag. Just a side note make sure the filter is completely dry before oiling or the filter will not have oil where it is damp.

Thanks Turbo -

Yeah, it's been drying now for 3 days, so it's probably as dry as it ever gonna get  I'll oil it up tonight and store it away in a zip-lock bag, as you recommend!

Cheers - - michael
