Drivetrain New Front Mount IC
Andy, that's precisely the type of info. I'm speaking of. Thanks for illustrating the process clearly.
One of the troubles we're going to run into here is that we have no single car (that I'm aware of) which has been logged from OE, through 15%, through 19% and or other mods, with OE TMIC as the constant. You wouldn't happen to have graphed logs of 15%, 19% etc. to share would you?
The SPI and Psi-fi guys must have some info. Surely this is why they switched to larger TMIC's. ...Even so, thier experience is not very comparable as I understand at least one of the cars had modifications to the intake path, + other efforts to lessen charge temp from the turbo. Knowing the temps they were having to cool would be useful though.
Any other thoughts surrounding an effective FMIC? I'll preface this question with what seems to be the obvious downsides:
more complex:
- to engineer and incorporate without losing AC and or legal bumper
- to fabricate
- modification during install = time, knowledge & skill required for install
This said, if the price weren't totally outrageous & the gains in cooling & recovery were good enough I'm sure a few folks would get on board.
Little about this project sounds straightforward or easy
...But if the rewards were satisfying...

I also want to get FMIC.
Why no one wants to release the intercooler adptor?
then I can use any company intercooler to install.
I have a question.
If I have install FMIC, then can I use COOPER or MINI ONE bonnet ?
I dun need airduct.

So, heres an idea. Seems to me that the problem with all the ICs is working around the existing packaging. Forgetting about the $$$ for a moment why not move the radiator first. Flare the rears, duct air and add twin side pod radiators. You get better weight distribution and lower underhood temperatures as a bonus. Then you're relatively free with your IC placement. Yeah...its $$$, but are you really serious or not? Anyone ever tried anything like this?
