Numbers, numbers, numbers. To tell you the truth there's no way that I could tell you. I know that's what it says on the site. As far as my car is concerned, there are just too many variables happening at once when I do my projects to even consider all the before and after dynos. Not to mention the cost at $75 a pop. It would be nice for the Mini community, but I would have to pass the hat about a dozen times and I doubt I would get more than a few bottle caps. Man does not live by dyno alone. I do what I do when I do it and dyno once a year or so. In the meantime, I report in with what I can. If some feel it doesn't meet their relevancy standards, I understand.

At some point, one has to make their decisions based on their own guidelines. I can say this, the temps are very low and steady (no spiking). I am extremely pleased to run a mere 16-17 degrees over outside temp. I'd be curious to know if anyone else is getting better results.

If you're asking is it worth the money, my answer is an emphatic yes. Considering the amount I've spent on other mods that produce much lower bhp/$. Granted I have made many of them for other reasons. Reliability and durability.

However, I have a supercharged car that I have maximized with numerous mods (short of twin-charge). Makes sense to get those temps down on the SC and this unit definitely does the job.

Outlet = 69
Inlet = 115

Ei = (115 - 69)/(115 - 52) = .73

Again, for my purposes, to keep on eye on how I'm doing heat-wise, I have always watched the difference between my outlet temps and ambient. Basically, see how close to "ideal" I can get. Pretty close right now. I will however, do some switching at the various tracks later this year to get the numbers when at higher ambients and higher under-load inlets.
Good stuff! You are one of three people who I have seen post actual efficiency numbers on NAM (the other two being GRS and yours truly :smile: ) I have gotten to the point where I can do a quick calculation in my head from looking at the ambient, inlet, and outlet gauges. That w/a setup definitely has the potential to keep your intercooler temp nice and stable, but it will be interesting to see what happens at the track, especially one with lots of long straights with plenty of WOT to soak that water.

Madness appears to have the flow rate on their site, but not the fluid capacity. Any idea how much water you used to fill it up?

wouldn't those high speed conditions cool that water better than anything else?

Actually, I do. Have to pour so slowly it drives one crazy. Takes less than I would have thought. Though, I should check again and see if there has been any more settling.

Anyway, about 75% of a gallon jug of 50/50. So that's about 96 ounces. And one 12 ounce bottle of Water Wetter.

THe reason I ask is that I too have lots of mods and as we speak R Speed is finishing up the new head and cam which is a lot more that $1300 ( with labor) and I am going to be satisfied with 13-15 hp If I thought I would get 1/2 of 25 from the intercooler considering the protection from lower operating temps I would be thrilled and put it on my next to do list.

BTW thanks for being so thorough in your post
