BUT to answer my initial question if stock ecu/tune can allow 22psi. Yes , yes it can. It can allow upto 25psi because that is the limit/threshold of the jcw tmap sensor..
That's what I was implying. You are not getting boost cut because the DME is seeing altered boost signals. Plug into the OBD port to get DME boost values and you'll see why you're not getting boost cut at ~25 psi.
But, that's all moot at this point, since you're going custom tune....
