I’m still searching time to time, from years now (2014 &#128517, a Limited Slip Differential for AT Steptronic 6 gears Aisin Warner GA6F21WA.
I want to upgrade my ‘05 R53.
I confess I had hope when I seen more recent Minis equipped with this transmission, LSD could be a « JCW » option in the R56S catalog, R60 Countryman or R61 Paceman, … but nothing…
At least, I’m quite confident on the reliability regarding the supported torque because mounted with diesel engines and 4 WD 😊 (this last thing surprise me a bit as it’s the same model reference but output 4WD from a 2WD designed box.. strange!)

 

Its a traction device controlled by the TCU on the auto.

Drexler which makes the LSD's for the M division of BMW, makes one for the R56-R61 automatic but it will set you back about $5,000 and change. P/N is DSD-100-100-00675.
