Sport Mode downshift Rev Hang

Anyone know if there is a way to code out sport mode downshifts? What I mean is that in sport mode as compared to MID or ECO the car downshifts too fast which when coming to a stop causes lurching and the car itself seems unhappy. In manual s+, if you don't downshift yourself it will downshift at a very low RPM which is smooth. Same in MID.
I can't use MID mode though because for some reason with a cat back, MID mode has zero power.
