OBX Exhaust?

Anybody have experience with the OBX Cat Back exhaust?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW
Volume?
Fit?
Finish?
etc?

Not a bad price. (Which is why I'm thinking about it).

exhaust

check out the remus system for your car on e-bay under "mini cooper exhaust", it is a better system and much better deal. Check out review on this system on www.motoringfile.com .

Motor with a great tone, and oh yes, I have a remus system on my car.

Do you mean this one?

I looked at it before, but from what I could tell is that it wasn't a Cat Back system, only the muffler. Am I mistaken and it's truely a Cat Back?

If not, how hard was it to install? Was it bolt on or did you need to take it to a muffler shop?

Easy To Install

All you do, is measure, cut the pipe off, and the Remus fits right in.

Cat Back

Any system behind the catalitic converter is a "cat back". The Remus just uses the pipe connected to the mounting flange instead of supplying a new one.

last i checked aren't simply mufflers more formally known as Axle-Back exhaust systems? And zinful, although you are right, "cat-back" refers to an exhaust system which replaces ALL the stock parts from the cat back....

I guess....if you take that word literally. If you get the remus, you are still leaving on the stock OEM "front muffler" which is the most restrictive part of the exhaust system. So you wont see many gains from exhausts that are simply weld-on mufflers.

ethereal is correct...its only referred to as a catback if it replaces every OEM part from the catylytic converter to the exhaust tip out the back.
