Drivetrain 550 injector question

550 injector question
So I'm planning on a bit more power in my R53 JCW.
After collecting several parts (cam, pulley) I'm now at the point of injectors. Do I need them?
Well after logging my R53 couple of times I see a peak DC of 103% at 6800rpm. Knowing that I would say to be on the safe side I do need 550cc injectors.
But now it's getting interesting, some mates of me have R53's too and are into the tuning. So their stories:
'06 R53 JCW 210hp with 15% reduced pulley went to the tuner they said 550's aren't necessary and they tuned the MINI with the 380's now pushing 243hp at the dyno. (chart available if needed)
'05 R53 JCW with 15%, Schrick cam and 550's running 255hp on the dyno, tuner said 550's weren't needed but the customer wanted it so we tuned it with 550's
'03 R53 base with 17%, 461 cam and 550's running 220hp on an OTS tune wanted something custom and the tuner told him the 550's are way to big and he won't need them.
Have to say this was at 3 individual tunes (1 in the Netherlands and 2 in Germany). Now i'm thinking well wenn 3 well known tuners say you won't need 550's what's the point of fitting them in my setup. But also if mine is running 103% DC in high revs what would they push the 380's to when running 240/250hp? or do the R53 run so stupidly rich that there is enough room in capacity to play with?
Looking forward to your opinions!

That would suggest that I won't need the 550's!
What EGT and AFR are you seeing especially in the high revs?
I know that the stock R53 S/JCW and GP are quite rich in the top end tool cool down the air and EGT, I wouldn't want to lose that safety part unless the mods result in a lower EGT.

^^^ Adrian told me (messaged actually) during my own tune session a few weeks ago that he has now tuned (remotely) 150+ MINIs from his location in Romania. I recently joined the R53 OC (Facebook group, despite disliking FB). In order to communicate during our tune session, Adrian and I "friended" (my only such). Amazing now while viewing that FB group, how many other members worldwide show Adrian in common as a FB "friend".
