Daily Driving

I bought a 2011 MCS with the N18 recently and I am wondering when does the daily driving end. I am looking a some go fast bits and bigger bolt on mods. I drive my car every day, mostly on freeways. I love taking it through canyons and maybe take it to the track in the future, but it still has to get me to work on the weekends. My question is what are the upgrades I should stay clear of? I hear meth is a upgrade most people do on these cars but I feel like that would trash the daily drivability of it. I was thinking of doing a exhaust, intercooler, intercooler piping and upgraded brakes to start. Does any have these mods or similar mods and still daily drives it? or any mods that made there car a weekend car only? If you have any advice let me know. Thanks!

A good WMI system can be setup to activate only during boost, which should accommodate your DD requirement. I consider my beast as a DD and I have a very extensive mod list, shown in my signature. Since I'm retired, it isn't truly a DD but there's no reason it can't be. Usually get 35 - 40 MPG, depending on how wild I get. Track use will kill MPG stats. Don't hesitate building your Mini --- enjoy it!
