Help 2006 mini cooper

Hi i have a 2006 mini cooper base1.6l chili hatchback ctv transmission; my cars been running great but all of a sudden my car isn’t accelerating anymore; i put it in drive and rev it dosent move, put it in reverse it starts to roll back but still no acceleration; i was researching some things about cvt transmissions will the pulley and the belt cause no power to go from the engine to the transmission? Or am i gonna have to get a new transmission i have fluid it just doesnt move someone please help

Sounds like the belt in the cvt trans itself is shot.

If the motor is running and it's in "gear" but it doesn't move, the power isn't getting to the axles. Everything past the flywheel will need to be examined. Unfortunately most of what you want to look at is inside the transmission case.

I sincerely wish you the best of luck here and hope that I am wrong, but a full rebuild is probably in your future.
