So obviously from the title I wanna k24 swap my r56 s the engine blew up it’s a long story I got parts to fix it but if those don’t solve the issues with it and there’s more issues with it then I def want to k24 swap it since I have access to a k24. How much would it cost and simply how hard would it be?
I got in touch with the guy who 4g63 swapped his r56 and he said some guy was k swapping them on Instagram but he didn’t know who it was I guess you found it so thank you!
K24a with a freshly rebuilt k20z3 trans, hybrid racing no cut shifter box which is a super tight short shifter and feels great, skunk 2 ultra street manifold paired with their 70mm pro throttle body, rsx type s injectors and stock mini fuel pump for now and it’s got a Hondata kpro v4. NA for now cause it’s my daily driver but goals are to make MAX 350hp once I add a turbo. Not sure how much it makes since I haven’t been able to start it without the header but I can’t wait to drive it lol.
A lot. The average is about 10k but depends on what you want, a lot of people got junkyard engines and transmissions so it cut the cost down for them but a few people got bad engines/trans so that’s why I went certified jdm engine and rebuilt trans so it upped my cost a lot after it’s completely done it’ll be about 15k

very very nice! The turbo is the last confusing part of this build for me. It’s not discussed much. Is it still a challenge being worked out? For me the K swap with turbo and air to air intercooler is a must have deal breaker.

a few people have done auto swaps obviously it’s a little more difficult hooking the auto up correctly but they do it. Most people just convert it to manual since it’s easier to convert it than to figure out the auto.

I’m just gonna use my Wagner inter cooler I got for it when it still had the stock engine. It’s a good but expensive intercooler so I’m def gonna use it and it bolts up to the stock location. Turbo manifold is the most difficult fitting part but most people just use a sidewinder manifold, you should see rptcreations r53 that thing is a scary beast🫣

that’s good because I also have the Wagner. I will look to see if RPT offers the manifold but I don’t find any parts listing for the turbo. His R53 is scary but I’ve got R59 :-)

he doesn’t have any manifold he works with sts for an NA manifold but sadly no turbo. STS was taking to long to make the manifold sadly and wasn’t sure when the exhaust would be ready so I had to take mine to an overpriced shop sadly and they’re taking long too :(

only two that are mainstream one is STS and the other is DTR on Instagram, I would’ve went with STS he has the best prices and good quality but he’s backed up and I wanna drive my car and DTR is also backed up so had to find a shop near me to do it but it’s wayyyy more😭
