CAE shifter

I ditched the craven speed short shifter for a CAE shifter. I installed a new CAE shifter today, but it seems like when I get it back on the ground there will need to be some adjusting to get the gears shifting correctly. I didn’t notice any videos, so I’m asking for any advice from people who have gone through the process. I haven’t done anything except bolt it in and connect, secure the shift cables bottom plate and install the pivot linkage without any adjustments.

The instructions seem to outline the adjustment process pretty good:

I’ve had mine for 4 or 5 yrs and never had a problem. I had mine installed by Hank at Advanced Auto Fab in Spokane. He has done quite a few. You might give him a call.

yes, I see that. I was wanting to hear anyone’s experience actually doing it since it’s noted you can mess up your transmission if done improperly. It’s not like putting in a craven speed short shifter, there’s some fine tuning involved.
