Drivetrain Best Tuning Software
Best Tuning Software
Gentlemen (& Ladies too),
I am looking for opinions on what is the best tuning software package. I am interested in first-hand opinions, so please tell of your experiences with a particular software. I have tuned many ECUs in the past (not Minis, however) so complexity doesn't bother me. For me, the more options, the better!
I want to hear constructive feedback.
And...GO!

I have experience with Bytetronik and Adrian's tune. I would say Bytetronik is very flexible in such that mappings can be changed, if you are knowledgeable. As for my experience with Adrian, he was able to use my Bytetronik software to correct/fix the bad mappings I got when I purchased canned tunes from Bytetronik. He manually changed the values through AnyDesk remote, and then I loaded his edits using the bytetronik. Also, Bytetronik allows logging, see attached. Adrians tuning is very good, the car pulls stronger and is a lot smoother after.
winols is probably the best, but you need a map pack for your ecu version, mini has many and the map addresses are different for each one.
Very few have the map packs / DAMOS files or documentation, the stock ecu is very complicated and I'm not aware of anyone that sells them
