Drivetrain Supersprint Exhaust Inside! . . .
Supersprint Exhaust Inside! . . .
I have had a lot of questions about the Supersprint exhaust lately, so here is what you wanted:
All Supersprint mufflers are of the flow through resonated design. This means each unit has no chambers or baffles to reduce velocity. Simply, a straight through in & out design that maintains the proper back pressure throughout the entire RPM range. The internal components are 100% stainless steel with a high heat resistant rock wool sound suppressing material, not found in any other systems. This is the reason we can offer you sound legal performance exhaust systems. Tubing is always mandrel bent for maximum flow. Flanges and hangers are O.E. or better quality for a perfect fit every time. Housings are all manufactured from 1.5mm material that is M.I.G. welded at all seams. The stainless systems are 100% 304 stainless.
The 63.5mm Y pipe replaces the factory 57mm Y pipe. As with all Supersprint components, plasma cut plate steel flanges and factory spec. metric fittings are utilized for easy installation.
The Supersprint header is designed for the ultimate scaveging effect. Equal length, mandrel bent and hand welded tubing mergest into 63.5mm collector tube (factory exit tube is 57mm) making for a strong and effective header.
Supersprint offers the largest tip style choices in the world!

Questions on Supersprint
Whats the opinions on using Supersprint exhuasts vice Borla sports or others. Is the supersprint louder? I don't need to be sold on the quality because I'vd had supersprint on all my sports cars.

Do you really need this part of can you just use the straight part without the resonator (I'm assuming that is a resonator).
If that is true, cant you just use the straight pipe (w/resonator already there and just start at the y-pipe?
And, one last question (prolly a dumb one). how is the different size systems going to mate (i.e., from stock to 63mm)?
And one more, what parts of the JCW exhaust can I keep? Start at the Y-pipe?

chows, you can use your factory center pipe and get the Y-pipe, mufflers and tip. This is how I have it on my car and it sounds fantastic. In my opinion, the tips are a complete rip off (something like $125.00), you can get very good quality tips for less than half that price if you just look around on the net, which is what I did. Overall, I'm super happy with the system. It's a little loud when you get in the boost, but has a very european sound. It's not fartcan honda like the Magnaflow and a little louder than the Borla.
One man's opinion.
I happen to like my Magnaflow very much, thank you. Not Honda fartcan at all.
Sorry to hijack the thread. Back to regularly scheduled programming.

Supersprint also sells a straight center pipe without the resonator, but I was worried it might be too loud. With the resonator, it's slightly louder than stock. Should have gone with the straight pipe, as it's too quiet for me.
