Drivetrain RPM Stage 2 and MA inspection

Not from Mass, but I have looked up laws for multiple other users in multiple states in the NE. They all seem to roughly abide by the same federal regulation that says cars made after 2001 are allowed to have one monitor "not ready" so long as there is no check engine light. So basically, even of your O2 reads as "not ready" on an OBD2 scanner but there's no CEL in the car, you should pass fine.

EDIT: Actually just found this website (https://www.mavehiclecheck.com/motorists-basicinfo) that says "2005 and newer model year non-diesel vehicles may have a maximum of one “not ready” non-continuous monitor."

You'll be fine if your check engine light is not on. Massachusetts is one of the states that simply trusts the car's computer to tell it about the emissions status (for post-1996 cars). There is no visual inspection of emissions system like CARB requires in California.
