Bytetronik setup
Hi ,
Firstable, sorry if my English is not very good , I'm French....
Nobody is perfect
So I have a mini Cooper S 2006 since 2 years .
I have on it a pulley 17 , camshaft, airtec top mount , cold sparks plugs , miltek catback , KN , 550cc injectors , AFR innovate , Bytetronik .
I am using a base map from 1320 mini with AFR setup at 12:1 ( checked with data log )
So like is the car now I have 205 hp ( checked with virtual dyno )
I tried to have a little bit more power because I know it would be possible to have 225 to 235 hp with my configuration.
I made modification on the fuel map and set up and tried the car with AFR form 11:1 to 13:1 but the power is steel the same : 205 hp .
All the test was done on the same track .
I don't understand . May be the ignition advance is not good ?
What are the specialist here think ?
Thanks
Thierry

It's not all about AFR, 13:1 is too high,
You have to consider not only AFR, but timing, fuel delivery, fuel grade, detonation threshold and other things when it comes to making power. While the data logs have all the info you need, you really need to know what to do with it.
Honestly, for the safety of your engine, I would consult 1320 or ByteTronik directly about tuning options, if you're not familiar enough with this.

@R53coop : 205 hp at crank
I prefer make setup myself, it's much more interesting.
I change the values step by step , and check the curves on each step , so it should be safe.
yesterday's I move the ignition advance from 21° to 30° and there is a big difference.
Now I have 220 hp at crank.
Big big difference at WOT
