Drivetrain Pulley installed today

Pulley installed today
What’s up everyone. Finally got around to installing the way 17% pulley today. Not a huge notice as some people made it out to be.
Ok so I’ve done plugs, way wire kit and ignition. Alta intake and tube so far. Car has hesitating in 2nd gear and some in 3rd while on the gas. It’s done this even before the pulley was installed.
Next issue is now my check engine light & traction control light is on. That common ?
Car seems more peppy and faster acceleration while crusing around. But thought overall would of been more noticeable of a change.

On the pulley; for every extra 15 PSI of boost you double the horsepower. You increased your boost about 7 PSI so do the math and you will know where you should be hp now.
On the CEL; what codes are you showing?
On the performance; it takes about 30 HP to turn the supercharger. The Gen1 does not have the torque that the Gen2 turbos have.
On the Traction Control; could be speed sensors but I have also seen a traction control light come on with the CEL.
On the hesitation; is it skipping? Could be a bad coil

Haven’t had it hooked up on a scanner yet. Just installed today and soon as I started the car traction light was on along with service engine light. New plugs, wires & coil from way. Skipping is a word you could use. Did before new plugs etc were installed. Also car does
Not start up on first try now, sputters and dies then second try it will start “ that’s very annoying “ can’t see changing a pulley causing all of this to happen all sudden.

What codes are stored? The SES and DSC lights being on simultaneously can be any number of faults, we need the codes to give a better idea.
The pulley should add about 20 HP.
What size belt did you install?

Plugs one step colder, wires and coil. Pulley 17% and belt.

I’ll post them later I’m going to scan it. Just don’t understand how both lights can come on after a pulley install.

When I did my 15% pulley, I kept saying to myself, "seems like I lost a lot of low end torque". That went on for a few weeks until I had to replace my valve cover gasket. After the gasket was replaced and I took Scarlet out,I noticed an increase in power, figured the gasket wasn't that bad. Then I realized that I disconnected the battery, since i had to do a bunch of work that weekend, the battery was disconnected that whole time. Something got reset and gave me the boost I was looking for after replacing the pulley. This got me thinking about a highly contentious subject here on NAM, the ECU reset. I reset my ECU, I really can't say if it did anything, I did notice that after the reset, my gas mileage has dropped by 1MPG.
You mentioned that you got a bunch of codes after the pulley install, I did as well. I reset all the codes and they have not returned. All this is to say, try resetting your ECU or disconnecting your battery for a while, it's not going to hurt anything, may just help.

Pulled a code for the camshaft so why would I bring up the crank ???
Sorry let me clear up my last post. The installer not installed didn’t clip the “ CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR “ in the correct way. He left the red latch closed and reinstalled not knowing it didn’t click in all the way. Simple error he should of known about.
I don’t care if you read it or not.

And it’s far from a drive ability issue lol.

1. Poster is trying to help you, as are others here. No need for that. There is a ton of talent here in helping diagnose or give advice for free.
2. I suspect reason crank sensor was brought up is because that is related to starting issues. Cam sensor is related to drivability. So when you indicated the cps was not installed properly, it would be unusual for it to affect the cars starting, but not unusual for it to affect drivability.
Hopefully all your issues have been address
Regards,
Jerry

Issue is addressed as I stated it was a simple error on the installers part.

Sorry man I just have lots going on and trying to find information out. I appreciate you & everyone else who replied with input minus emojis.
Anyway. Lights are off and I’m about to take a test drive now.
