Doesn't the new cam come with new valve springs ? If more aggressive cam would be common sense need stronger springs.

My Dominator did not come with different springs. I am thinking that if you want to increase the revs you go with stiffer springs.

On how aggressive the cam is, I probably should have measured the plug tube to lobe clearance before I changed over. The Dominator lobes were contacting the plug tube so I dimpled the tubes. Also thought I read someplace that not only are the lobes higher, the cam to sprocket degree is changed.

With higher lifts, plus higher RPM cutout from tune the springs are definitely under heavier duty than stock. The $64k question is how much more stress. I incline to think the higher lift is more taxing than higher RPM cutout as most folks don't regularly hit the rev limiter.

How interesting, I have had mine on for 30000km and regularly hit the rev limiter say a couple times a week haha

125000km total now

I did not go with higher revs on my tune. With the mods I have, can hit the rev limiter in 1st at the blink of an eye. I could have been more aggressive with the tune had I wanted to and I did not go with a header as well. I do not track my car so tenths of seconds between engine and suspension mods do not mean that much to me. I like some spirited driving once in while. With the setup I have that includes some better brake pads, I am quite happy with the results.

Back on topic, hopefully the OP has just the broken spring to deal with not more internal damage.
