Upgraded turbo for the S model?

Hey all,

Been searching, but didn't see much or at all, so here's my post.

Has anyone upgraded their S to something different? Like to the JCW, or any bigger turbos offered out there?

I ask because once you add the suspension, wheels, intercooler, exhaust, intake, DP, etc, the only thing left is upgrade the turbo, build the motor, or get a faster car.

Thanks,

Dalton

Yes. You can swap on a JCW turbo, you'd really just need a tune like Manic Stage 3 to take full advantage of it

Just upgraded to JCW from my very tired S turbo. Night and day with a Stage 2 tune. Absolutely love it. Now if only my clutch would hold

^^ Those or get the frankenturbo N14 engine or the Borg warner airwerks. A tune takes it to the next level and helps you use it.

On the CM if you are pushing all the HP and TQ on the 4 wheel drive the clutch will need an upgrade. Still on the stock clutch? Early CM's had stock clutches burn up without modes and then the superseded the part number to a newer clutch.

Yes, still stock clutch. It was slipping a little previously, now it just slips in 3-6.

What clutch kit do you recommend for Stage 2 Manic JCW with Meth injection?

I can't dyno because it just slips the clutch in 3rd-6th haha

I'm assuming with the Meth Injection it will be in the upper 200's at the wheels

Find out the estimated Manic Stage 2 by MarioKart and then see if anyone he knows anyone who ran meth with that. He might have a good figure on power. Otherwise, you could just get the highest rated clutch and be safe. But the higher you go the more aggressive the feel is.

Could you post the estimated max power for each of the Clutchmaster Clutches you sell? Would very useful as CM does not state any power handling on their website or yours.

Thank you,

Thank you,
I doubt that any vendor will give you the power parameters of their clutches....there are just too many variables and it could open them up for some liability.
