My friend has ordered and gotten the MTH software and his ECU update has been returned by Franz.

He's a Mac user so he can't use his computer to load the update. So he brought it to me since I did the original ECU download for him.

The problem is that I can't get his software to upload his data file from my PC. It tells me that his VIN isn't licensed for the software. When I start the CarTune software, it immediately comes up as being licensed - apparently reading my license even though I'm trying to load his copy.

So how do I get around this? Do I have to remove my copy? If so, how does that work for the new version of CarTune that's keyed to my laptop? Is there a registry entry (I looked and couldn't find anything other than entries showing window position)?

Is it even possible to use the same laptop to upload multiple MTH updates?

I think I just figured it out. Stupid me wasn't putting his Keycode in the blue box.

My guess is that's the only problem. Right?

But of course he's gone home for the night. Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow.
