Another dramatic o2 problem.

So I bought R53 recently. Ive knocked out some of the problems with it already. Abs light, tire rubbing. Now I finally got to the SES light.

To my knowledge and from what I can see the only exhaust related mods are a header/decat to a single muffler exhaust.

When I scanned it originally I had 2 faults P0420(cat efficiency) and P0131 Bank 1 sensor(before cat) So I assumed that meant upstream.

I scanned it later and got an additional P0133 Bank 1 sensor before cat slow response.

I found some decatted mini owners whom had luck with a J bung spacer like this one.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AQ7972O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AQ7972O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So I installed this spacer downstream with the medium sized insert and at the same time, replaced the upstream sensor with an NTK sensor. Attempted to clear faults using my C310 scan tool(not sure if capable of clearing anything). Absolutely no change at all to the faults listed. I've cycled the key 10+ times. Disconnected battery for over 5 mins(not sure if thats long enough). Drove for over 10 miles. Attempted to clear same faults. No Change.

Questioning what to do next.
Remove downstream spacer and try the smallest flow insert?
Assume upstream sensor is faulty and try another?
Find the nearest lake and drive into it with the windows down?
