Oil Catch Can

Anyone running an oil catch can with their F56 (or F55) B48 engine? Which one? Was it difficult to install? Post pics to show mounting and plumbing.

Moderators do not appreciate duplicate posts in different forum sections.
(mentioning this not to be critical but as a former moderator on a different forum). Duplicate threads clutter the forum and split responses between two identical threads (causing the moderator to combine the two at a later date).

Personally, I never saw the need to purchase or install one. If manufacturers thought having one was of any benefit for performance or engine longevity (and considering the small expense of manufacturing one), they would put them on the cars during assembly.

Not saying installing one is bad. Makes the buyer feel good and certainly makes the seller happy as well.

I have 62000+ miles on my F56 and don't see the need also.

If you see a need, that means your engine is having a problem - excessive crankcase pressure pushing out excessive amount of oil into the air intake system, and installing a catch can is to catch those oil in a can before reaching the air intake system. So, what you are trying is not really fixing the original problem which is the excessive crankcase pressure possibly caused by piston blowby like due to worn out piston rings and/or overboost. Installing a perfectly good condition engine is a total waste of money, wasting space in a mini engine compartment, more things to go wrong, etc.

I'm curious on this also.
Was going to have one custom built by my shop.

Any for sale in the market?

Thanks for the advice and sorry I asked a question (rolls eyes). Perhaps one day, I'll be as perfect as some of you think you are.
