MOTD Mods?? Help

Looking for some advice on modifications to do before attending MOTD, I'm sure some of you who will also be attending or have been before or live in a similar area will be able to offer some help. This will be my first year going up in the mini and other than that the car lives in FL, flat straight FL. I did some modifications for DD before deciding to attend and am now am second guessing myself. Looking for input to things that should be added before i make the drive up or any suggestions to maximize function while up there.

So Far:

- 15% sc pulley
- 2% crank
- Ebay big Intercooler (I learned after not a help)
- cold air intake
- colder plugs
- tune up
- DT BPV
- ST coilers
- 8mm wheel spacers
- SS brake lines
- 22mm sneedspeed sway bar
- helix SS
- boost gauge

Mostly worried about heat in SC or engine. Is this an ok set up? will i be able to have fun without worry?

You will have fun no matter what. I would not make any last minute changes that you haven't thoroughly wrung out before you go. Make sure your tires and alignment are in good shape, oil and filter is fairly fresh and good quality. Brake fluid is fresh and brakes are in good shape. Don't make things too complicated. BTW where are you coming from in Florida?

Agreed, I have taken my other car up before, in fact I'm very familiar with the area up there just have never taken the mini. Everything will be freshened up, last things to cover are infact tires - alignment - and the ss brake lines and fluids.

Ill be coming from bradenton fl, little south of Tampa.

Were coming from Monticello in North Florida. This is our 3rd. Were still debating which car to take 04 R50 or a new to us 06 R52. The R50 has made it twice before without even the slightest hint of a problem. We just got the R52 so I have been on a serious (read expensive)update campaign. Hope to see you up there.

Tires will be the most important. Other than that Brakes.

Also maybe a CG lock or harness as those will keep you seated.

And just come to have fun

Focus less on mods and more on maintenance. Sounds like you have a great base already.

Inspect and replace the following if necessary:
- Brake fluid, brake lines, brake pads, brake rotors
- Serpentine belt, tensioner, and harmonic balancer
- Coolant overflow tank
- Passenger side motor mount
- Air filter
- Engine oil
- Transmission oil
- Tires
- Wheel bearings

After that, then you can give some thought to more mods.
