Looking for Borla Race & Street sound clip.

Does anyone have a sound clip of these exhausts? I had the Magnaflow and did not like it. Too loud. Had to sell it. Now I am about to purchase the Borla Street. Is the Race version similar in sound volume/tone to the Magnaflow? I would really like to hear the Race with stock headers.

Thanks,

Paul.

I'd also like this sound clip. I've heard the street version in person and it's not too much louder than stock but I like the stock sound better. I'd like to hear the differences between the two.

pwilk20,

For videoclips see
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=23789
For Borla see #6. Clips for both are there.

Borla Street is quiet (compared to magnaflow) but louder than stock.
Power is good with either one (a little more with Race)

Borla Race is not as loud as Magnaflow and is a good exhaust for mid to highly modded MCS (pulley, ECU, header, throttlebody, intake)

If you have Borla Race and added headers some would give you more exhaust sound like those with no race cat. Milltek header would add only a little if any but it is always best to try to find someone that have the exact setup and listen to the exhaust from inside and outside the MINI while it is going. Generally (as an early mod) you don't really need to add headers if you have either Borla exhaust (wait till the cost comes down).

This is the best I've got. The first part is selfexplanatory, but the second half of the video is of video inside the car. I think to best do the sound justice is to do some rolling clips from another car.

Wow, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.

Well, looks like it`s gonna be the Borla Street for me. I do like the sound of the Race, but it`s just a bit too loud for me. Kinda Magnaflowish, don`t want to go down that path again. http://store.yahoo.com/titanmotorsports/index.html they got it (Street) for $575. Gonna take the plunge .

pwilk20,
If you have not already placed your order then consider calling Helix13.com early on monday and ask them if they could match or beat the titanmotorsports price. Helix13 is the international distributor for Borla so they are likely the suppliers for many outlets. Also consider the cost of shipping to your area. The Borla street should be good.
