Exhausts that don't burble

I've got an 05 MCS with a Magnaflow on it, and quite frankly the burble has become too much. Anyone running something different? How much burble do you have? Was thinking of getting a custom one with a Megan header.

There's no such thing as too much burble.

I'm running the Invidia - not sure what to compare it to but the burble isn't obnoxious.

Lol I don't hate it, but with the current rear end knock I have I cant tell what is what half the time.

Plus I like the Alta single canister design and want the weight savings of such. The burble has been fun but I think it's time for function over... "form"? Lol

Go with either a Miltek or Stratmosphere, and if the burbles are too much I would recommend against running an aftermarket header.

The burbles are very entertaining to me, guess I'm a child.

maybe just take care of the knock and leave the exhaust? scorpion is also a decent amount quieter than the magnaflow, and the burble is more like snapping

From what I'm reading, he likes the burble too - but with the burble, he can't diagnose what could be an issue. He's trying to figure out what the knock is.

Thats the kicker!

I am gonna get under the beast tomorrow and see if the bushings need greased, or if something is loose. The car is not DDed and the Hotchis bar has only been on for about 500 miles. This just started a few days ago.

Still considering a different exhaust but for reasons stated above. The single side saves the weight, plus my exhaust guy is gonna do my header anyway. Plus the MagnaFlow tips have seen better days.

I do love the burbles as well. I just hate little noises more!

Yea very possible the sway bar is clunking, lots of exhausts to choose from. Not much different from one to the next really, aside from the Alta, which is v band and single sided.

A custom tune can get rid of it as it's part of the oem tune. Otherwise, you need something like the oem exhaust to make it quiet. I had a Celica GTS muffler for a while and I couldn't hear it at all. I do like the popcorn machine noise, so I missed it.

I've seen a trend of people using stock mufflers from other makes and models of vehicles on the r53's instead of just going with some form of aftermarket muffler? Excuse me of I sound dumb but why is this?
