JCW exhaust question...

I have a 2005 S R53. I am needing to put in a new transmission and possibly engine since I found oil in cylinder 2 when I changed plugs the other day... My question is if I put in a JCW exhaust system do I need to have the car re-tuned? Or have to do the whole JCW tune kit? Anybody know what the gains are? Pros? Cons?

Thanks so much!
The noob.

You don't need a tune for an exhaust.

You can just install the exhaust. No tuning required. You dont need the JCW tuning kit, just get a 15% underdrive pulley, shorter belt and 1 step colder spark plugs. We sell it all here - http://www.sneed4speed.com/r53-pulley-kit/ you dont need a tune for this kit either but your car will make more power with a tune.
