Plasma Booster Performance!!

Hi guys,

Just wandering the performance it give as stated in M7 website and the dyno result before making the move to get one of this stuff,M7 Plasma Booster.

Has anyone installed it and feel the different before and after installing it?Does it really increase the HP as shown and stated? As there is also a topic of the related matter in this forum. What do you guys actually think about it?

Does the Plasma Booster same as the MSD Ignition Controller? Can our MCS install the MSD Ignition controller?

The price for the part is also not cheap which is costing almost $250.00 and some of you guys mentioned that the parts inside not even worth the price. To me the price of it is not a main concern but whether the part really has it advantages as it stated?

Hope you guys could give me some advises or opinions.

Thanks.

Peter.

I tried it and it didn't work.

I tried it and it didn't work.

Make sure you can send it back and get a refund, and then I'd say "Go for it"

Hi trippy,

It sounds like a cheating kind of part and the price for it not even worth at all.But the reason is why they would claim with such good performance it will produced?I believe there are many more others that have already be a victim of this part.

Anyway,thanks.

Cheers,
Peter.

Funny part is that nobody questioned why there arent any 'plasma booster' devices for other cars as well before they bought it. Or bothered to look up the word plasma, and notice that plasma is in no way related to a car.

Hi Peter, this has been discussed in depth. Please do a search and you will find plenty of information on this subject, it really does not warrant another post or response from anybody.

Most vendors exaggerate claims. We've seen vendors claim 30HP for a true 5HP mod!

I think no one questioned it because they all know that there ARE similar things for other cars... And plasma is just a name...Mini calls it the aero kit, and it doesnt provide any extra downforce or anything

Hi Peter,

I believed M7 claim 4-5hp is correct number....the PB did make car run more smoother...and we tested the fuel at routine usage, it did save some $$

I would venture to bet

that the HP gains would be most noted on a highly modified car. ie: head, cam , injectors, TB, and exhaust. It's kinda like giving a fat person who is out of shape EPO (red blood cell booster) and expect him to run 5minute miles.... he's still fat and out of shape.. how much performance does he get from the EPO?... little if any.... now take a highly conditioned athlete and do the same... much different results... in fact.... spectacular results.... JMHO

WOW! I love it!

Bring up my gas consumption from 26 to 30 mile/gallon!

Start up like a flash and smooth out the engine on any rpm. Ultra smooth and quick snap throttle respond. This little thing rocks! Plus the lights are absolutely amazing to see in the engine bay. The engine run so smooth like a v6.

Check out the movie! This is the best part!

PLASMA BOOSTER IN ACTION

I saw your Plasma booster for sale in the marketplace forum. So what gives? Are you using this as a lure? I would love to see a true dyno test of this thing. Anyone take one appart yet? MAYBE the M7 device that I sent away for with my sase is inside (never got mine in the mail ) Hope your Plasma booster brings you miles of smiles!

PS if anyone finds my SASE inside your Plasma booster can you send it to me?

I have a revolutionary new product that I patented never.

I will save you more gas, give you more HP, and scientifically prove all my claims much more thoroughly than the M7 Plasma booster!

what can it be?! what can it be?!

it's the AmAZinG ToRNAdO FuelZ SaVVorZ!!!!

Have I evar tried this productzz?!

NEVAR!!!

ok ok ok...

Many (or some) people on the board who have not tried the product, a few who have tried it, and even less that have taken it apart have stated their belief that this thing is worth about as much as my plan to reap profits from converting my USD to the peso back in the mid 90's.

Many (or some) people on this board who have tried it, love it. They say it does all it's supposed to do, makes babies come out of flowers like in those calendars, and resurrects heyzeus from some rank old cave he fell asleep in.

Some of the rough hypothesis that have sprung up make more sense:

it benefits more highly modded cars.
it is filled with SASE's and Austrian Cream puffs.
the electricals it contains is worth about as much as a crispy creme.

The third is more believeable because the people who have taken them apart are fairly knowledgeable. The middle one is just cause I'm hungry, but can't afford postage. The first one, while perhaps feasible, if true, still shows a blatant disregard for honesty in marketing because M7 didn't describe my mini as the "fat anemic bastid...NOW ENHANCED!". Could've been worse though.

Only 1 thing is for certain: with $250, you can buy me lots of cfream puffs and stamped envelopes. That way I can start earning 500-1500 dorrar a week stuffing envelopes! WORK AT HOME! MAKE MONEY! ParT TiMe!!!

Where exactly is the plasma located in my MCS that is being boosted. Maybe I just need new plasma and a booster won't help.

Are you all disappointed with you all MINI performance? Why everything you add to your car need to be HP gain? If so you bought a wrong car. STR-4 may be your best bet.

If we bought an SRT-4, we would have power and would have to spend 2x as much money as we do now on power, getting a body conversion, because that is one of the ugliest cars on the market

If you like MINI that much why everything you add need to have HP gain? I have seen people put bonet stripes sticker...blah..blah..they don't give you HP gains but they just do it because it make them happy and make the car looks good.

I did not say I get 10HP for this but I just feel like it smoother, but whatever it does I like the lights.

I think SRT-4 looks pretty close to a MINI from the front with 2 round head light...same ..eh

Let's see...

We have:
Plasma Booster
To mod or not
SRT-4 vs Mini

All we need is:
JCW vs modding yourself
Twin-charging argument
Where are your dynos that I'll accept
and the Frankenstein, Reanimators thread will be complete.
