apres pulley install?

So, Iwent to the East Hartford ,Conn pulley party and had a 15% pulley(alta) ,CAI(Alta),and irridium plugs installed by the man(Randy). As I'm leaving ,he casually mentions that the "whistle" is normal (in addition to the major increase in supercharger noise involved in the CAI install).BUT,and here's my question ,at cruising speed out on the highway(anywhere between 65 and 75 ,I experience a high pitched squeal that can only be compared to the feedback you get from a poorly balanced microphone, which is painfull .I have tinnitus anyway ,so I may be a little sensitive, but is this normal?Do I have a small vacuum leak somewhere that is causing this,or do I just accept that this is the way it is.It seems to happen worst at constant speeds and after "warm up"

The stock belt always seems to work fine with the 15% pulley. You could start your engine with the A/C off and bring up the rpm's to about 3,000. While holding the rpm steady turn on the a/c and see if you hear anything. the sudden extra drag of the a/c compressor will usually let you know if you have belt slipage. You can also get a friend with a similar set up to take your car for a drive to get a comparison of what is normal.

It's hard to know what this sound is from your description. The Alta intake definitely has a high-pitched whistle at small throttle openings.

Some people are hyper-sensitive to the whistle the throttle body makes at low throttle angles...seems that only the ALTA CAI transmits this whistling effectively.

NO, it is NOT belt slippage! (Bad jlm!)
