2004 Midlands to Getrag 5 Speed swap

So I'm doing a transmission swap on my 2004 mini cooper base model. It came with a Midlands 5 speed. I am installing a Getrag 5 speed from a 2005 convertible.

I got the transmission, axles, shifting cables, mount and flywheel from the wrecked car (a 2005 convertible base model).

The problem I have run into is that the transmission mount does not seem to fit in the car.

The engine is mounted and the transmission is cleanly mated to the engine, however there are about 4 inches of interference between the mount on the transmission and the mount bolted to the car frame.

What am I doing wrong?

You need the other half from the 05, after late 04 I believe that mount setup changed slightly.

This is the mount that bolts to the trans on an 04. But I do not believe it will mount to the 05 trans, which would lead me to belive you need the other frame mounted half from a later car.
