I am just wondering about that, since i just ordered a alta catch can i just want to be sure that it fits!

i teed off the fuel pressure regulator per advice by people on nam... anyone has done both? how did the install go? is it something i can do with proper tools?

The vacuum line between the intake manifold and the fuel pressure regulator is nowhere near the vapor vent hoses going from the valve cover to the intake tract. So, a catch can and boost gauge should live in peace and harmony.

 

Yep, it will work fine. The line you tee off of for the Boost/Vac. gauge (Under the intercooler at the fuel press. regulator) is the correct line. The Alta can runs off the PCV hose and hose going to the intake/throttle body. The only issue you may run into is mounting the Alta can if you have the MINI alarm system installed (Part of it resides in the cowl vent passenger side where the catch can mounts for '04 models.) You may have to custom mount it??

 

Here's the line that goes from the intake manifold to the FPR:
